A Simple Explanation.

The word gospel means “Good News”! What exactly is that good news? It is God’s glorious grace permeating the evil and darkness of this world. The gospel is the story of the creation, the fall, the redemption and the consummation established by God and carried out through the life, death, resurrection and ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ. The center of the gospel is the crucifixion of Jesus. His resurrection is the power of the gospel and His ascension is the glory of the gospel. Christ’s death on the cross two thousand years ago is the substitutionary and propitiatory sacrifice to God for our sins. It appeases God’s righteous wrath and satisfies His perfect justice. It also demonstrates God’s unconditional love and reveals His amazing grace for mankind. Jesus has become the only mediator between God and man. No man can reach or connect with God in any way outside of Him! There is no other name given unto men which they may be saved other than the name of Jesus. At the center of all true teaching is the cross of Jesus Christ! All redeemed sinners have the awesome privilege of glorifying God because of what He has accomplished through Christ. At Grace Church, we want everything that takes place in our hearts, in our church, and in our ministries to come from and be connected with the gospel.
